In the recently released ‘Raabta’ trailer, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s sizzling chemistry caught everyone’s attention but one thing that we missed or failed to notice is Rajkummar Rao in it. Audience might have not noticed an aged man close to the end, bringing a surprise element to the intriguing trailer. That tattooed old man is Rajkummar Rao. Thought he appear for just some seconds, the man surely catches attention. It should too because Rajkummar Rao is playing a 324-year-old man.
Rajkummar today released his look from the film, in which he will be making a guest appearance. The actor wrote, “And here is my Guest appearance from #Raabta.” Before him we have seen Rishi Kapoor in ‘Kapoor & Sons’, Akshay Kumar in 2.0 and Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Paa’ among others wearing prosthetic make-up.
This is the scene we all missed to notice in the trailer –
Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest actors who immerses completely into the skin of the character he plays. Bringing the character to life is not an easy job. The film’s team did 16 look tests before finalising this one. Director, Dinesh Vijan and Rajkummar Rao sat along with the team over a couple of days to get the final look in place. To get the looks right, Rajkummar had to undergo five to six hours of prosthetics every day to get into his character. In addition to that, his styling was important. His body posture and voice modulation also had to be worked upon. He wore accessories and also got the tattoos done for the character.
