Currently the fuel prices are rising and the current government possibly doesn’t have any answer for it. Earlier during the UPA regime the prices were sky rocketing as well and back then actor Akshay Kumar raised his voice against rise in the prices and tweeted “Guys, I think it’s time to clean up your bicycles and hit the road! As per sources, expecting another petrol price hike”. The tweet was written in 2012, however now his tweet has landed up in a controversy.
Akshay Sir, Big Fan! Can you please lend me your bycycle? I’ll get it cleaned. https://t.co/uVWnlF6h4o

A parody account on Twitter by the name of ‘Unofficial Sususwamy’ retweeted his tweet from 2012. But later the actor decided to delete it, and what is the reason behind is best known to him. But his action of deleting the tweet irked many social media users.

He was heavily trolled, and people even called him ‘ABVP supporter’ and ‘Canadian citizen’.
He was not the only actor who came under the scanner, even actors like Anupam Kher and Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted about the fuel prices earlier and now people are questioning their silence.
The ABVP Pracharak , Canadian Citizen , Padma Shri @akshaykumar Has Deleted His Tweet Regarding #Petrol Price Hike .. Request Him To Re-tweet it back As We Have Reached At Highest #FuelPrice Now .. Or is like 'sarkar ka chakkar babu bhaiyya' .. ! pic.twitter.com/XZmdqc3yJC

@SrBachchan and @akshaykumar both are spineless characters of Bollywood. Petrol price is all-time high, ppl are suffering, they should have protested as they did in the past, instead choose to keep silent. Their double standards and hypocrisy exposed.
