Abhishek Bachchan walks out of Paltan

Actor Abhishek Bachchan who was last seen in 2016 debacle ‘Housefull 3’ has managed to irk his long-time friend and filmmaker JP Dutta. The actor, who was supposed to work in the director’s upcoming movie Paltan, walked out of the project just 24 hours prior to the start of the shooting, citing personal reasons. This has left the whole team on the lurch.

When contacted Nidhi Dutta, daughter of JP Dutta and producer in the JP Films strongly hit out at the actor and vowed to find a replacement soon.

“Abhishek Bachchan is no longer part of ‘Paltan’ for personal reasons best known to him. It has come as a shock to us, as this happened less than 24 hours before our unit left to shoot in Ladakh. Nevertheless we wish him luck with his future endeavours. We are already in Ladakh filming with our entire cast, crew and the Army personnel. We will announce the actor who is replacing Abhishek in the film soon,” says Nidhi.

Abhishek had started his Bollywood career with Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ and also worked in films like ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Umrao Jaan’ with him.

‘Paltan’ also stars Suniel Shetty, Sonu Sood, Rana Daggubati, Pulkit Samrat, Siddhanth Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Gurmeet Choudhary. The film is scheduled to release in theatres next year.
