  • Ujjain: 30-year-old man stabbed to death in Kaharwadi

    Ujjain: One person was killed in a fight that broke out between three people near Duggad Parisar, Kaharwadi, midnight on Monday. The dead was identified as Ramesh, 30, a resident of Jharda, who was stabbed on his chest and stomach by the killers. His body was then thrown near Kasera Dharmsala.

  • Ujjain: Encroachment outside Cosmos Mall razed by UMC

    Ujjain: Ujjain Municipal Corporation removed illegal shops established outside Cosmos Mall (formerly Treasure Bazaar), Nanakheda area on Tuesday. Around 80 illegal shops were established in front of Cosmos Mall. The illegal shop owners had been earning up to Rs 4000 to Rs 5000 by renting these shops.

    Mumbai: Two men were convicted and sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in different cases, for sexually assaulting and raping minor girls. The men were punished by different special courts designated to hear cases under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

  • Bhopal: Congested new market gets breathing space, declared no-vehicle zone 

    Bhopal: The city’s shopping hub, New Market is likely to witness less chaos from Wednesday as the area has been declared a no-vehicle zone. The decision to bar entry of any vehicles, except loading autos, inside the marker was taken on Tuesday. An order of collector mentioning prohibition of entry of vehicles inside the market has been put up at the entrance of market.

  • Bhopal: 10 arrested while smuggling Sand Boa snakes

    Bhopal: Acting on a tip off a team of special task force (STF), posing as customers reached Aashima Mall at around 6 pm on Monday and arrested ten persons who were trying to smuggle Sand Boa snakes. Assistant inspector general (AIG) STF Suneel Shivhare said, “The teams recovered carry bags containing three snakes from the accused.”
