    Ex-diplomat Madhuri Gupta granted bail in espionage case

    New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday granted bail to convicted former diplomat Madhuri Gupta in connection with an espionage case. The court will hear Gupta’s appeal against conviction in September. The court is yet to fix a date of the same. Gupta was arrested for espionage in 2010 and was convicted on May 18. She was accused of leaking classified information to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
