    Mumbai: A sessions court here on Wednesday sentenced a man to death for the kidnapping and murder of a 12-year-old boy in 2012, while awarding life imprisonment to another accused. Imtiyaz Shaikh (26) was awarded capital punishment by the court. Co-accused Azad Ansari (26) was sentenced to life imprisonment. Additional Sessions Judge Dattatray Satawalekar held that prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

    Mumbai: Police have stepped up security at prominent railway stations in the city after an anonymous caller threatened to blow up “Bombay” railway station, an official said on Wednesday.     Mumbai: A 29-year-old Lucknow resident was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly preparing fake letterheads of politicians and bureaucrats and sending them as ‘recommendation’ letters to book tickets for prospective passengers under VIP quota, police said. The accused, identified as Devpratap Singh, allegedly used to sell these fake letters to wait-listed passengers charging them Rs 1200 to Rs 2400 per such document, a Mumbai GRP official said.
