  • India successfully test fires BrahMos missile from Odisha coast

    Bhubaneswar: India on Monday successfully conducted the first test of the BrahMos cruise missile aimed at increasing its life from 10 to 15 years. The missile was test fired from a mobile launcher from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur along the Odisha coast at about 10.44 a.m., said sources in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

    Jammu: The schools along a section of the International Border (IB) were today closed down by authorities due to firing and shelling by Pakistani troops, officials said. The schools, up to five kilometers range from the IB, have been shut. “The schools along the IB in Jammu, Samba and Kathua were closed because of the firing and shelling by the Pakistani troops, divisional level officials said.
