    New Delhi: The Centre is planning to amend the POCSO Act to provide justice to male child victims of sexual assault, the Women and Child Development Ministry said, days after an ordinance promulgated by President Ram Nath Kovind provided the death penalty for rape of girls under the age of 12.

    The Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR), from May 1, will also issue tickets, which will contain information in Marathi. The tickets of both CR and WR currently contains information in English and Hindi. Sunil Udasi, chief public relations officer, CR told Hindustan Times, “Marathi, being the state language, occupies a special place. Incorporating it in UTS tickets will give it a wider audience, as it is the local language.”

    Mumbai: Two police officers rob, extort Rs 12 lakh from former-GM of Mehul Choksi’s firm, wife allegedly molested

    Two police personnel were booked for allegedly robbing and extorting money from a former general manager of Mehul Choksi’s Gitanjali Jewellers. The duo, a woman sub-inspector and a constable who are posted with Nehru Nagar police station took away cash and gold worth Rs 12 lakh. The victim also alleged that his wife was also molested by the constable during the incident.
