  • Ujjain: City hostels to have libraries soon, says Malviya

    Ujjain: A meeting of district level vigilance and monitoring committee constituted under the Prevention of Atrocities against Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Act was held at Brihaspati Bhawan, under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament Dr Chintamani Malviya, on Friday. During the meeting, Malviya gave instructions to the in-charge district coordinator, to open libraries for students in big hostels of the city, so that they could prepare for competitive examinations.

  • Somalia: 18 killed in twin suicide car blasts in Mogadishu

    Mogadishu: At least 18 people have been killed and 20 others injured in twin bomb attacks in Somali capital Mogadishu, officials said. Aamin Ambulance Director Abdukadir Abdirahman said 18 people died in Friday’s twin bombings, one of which targetted the presidential palace, Xinhua news agency reported.

    Ujjain: Unidentified thieves stole a gold chain from the neck of a visiting worshipper at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, on Friday afternoon.   • Indore: Youth’s body found hanging from tree

    Body of 21-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree in Khudel on Thursday evening. He had been missing for more than a week. No injury marks were found on the body. Police are waiting for autopsy report to know the cause of death.
