    Mumbai: New DNA test conducted of rape accused in presence of Magistrate

    Mumbai: The DNA test of Raj alias Hari Shankar Shukla (35), a rape accused was conducted on Wednesday. Shukla, who was working as a teacher at the Mahatma Gandhi Mission school has been lodged at the Thane central jail on the charges of raping a 13-year-old school student in December last year.

    Mumbai: Plan for constructing 14,000 houses under PMAY withdrawn by the Maharashtra government

    Mumbai: After realising that the approved plots for constructing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) homes are already reserved for other purposes, the state government has directed Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) to withdraw the plan of three projects, involving the construction of 14,000 affordable housing units in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region region.
