    Lahore (Pakistan): A Christian man has been sentenced to death for blasphemy by a Pakistan court after a close friend accused him of sharing material that insulted Islam on Whatsapp. 35-year-old Nadeem James was arrested in July, 2016 after his friend Yasir Bashir filed a complaint to the police that he received a poem on WhatsApp, ridiculing Prophet Mohammad and other holy figures, the local media reported.

    Ujjain : A labourer afflicted with AIDS and Tuberculosis diseases committed suicide by hanging himself, on Saturday morning. Chimanganj mandi police informed that the deceased Gautam, resident of Panwasa, near Maksi road, was found hanging from a ceiling fan by his wife Sangeeta when she returned home, after dropping her daughter at school.

    BHOPAL : The 48th National Yoga Competition was held at Kendriya Vidyalaya no. 3 on Saturday. It was organised under the aegis of sports competition.     Mumbai : Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) corporator Prakash Gangadhare from Mulund has written to BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta on September 14 demanding that the authorities start hosting plays at Mulund’s Kalidas Natyamandir,  which was inaugurated on July 18.  Gangadhare’s letter to Mehta states, “Though renovation work has been completed and almost two months time has assed after the inauguration, still not a single play has been staged over here.”
