  • RBI advises banks to allocate higher provisioning for 12 stressed loan accounts

    New Delhi : The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday issued an advisory letter to banks asking them to incorporate additional provisioning on the 12 loan accounts to be referred to the NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), reports Moneycontrol.

  • India Inc’s fgn borrowings at $1 bn in May

    New Delhi : Indian industry borrowed $ 1.05 billion from foreign markets last month, including through rupee denominated bonds (RDBs). In contrast, the borrowings were $1.32 billion in May last year. However, the two sets of data are not comparable as the RDB route was not there until September. As per RBI data, of the total in May this year, external commercial borrowings (ECB) and RDBs contributed almost equally at $523.95 million

    New Delhi : Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured an order for setting up a 15 MW Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) Power Plant on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis, in Gujarat. The order has been placed on BHEL by Gujarat Alkalies and Chemical Limited (GACL) for setting up the SPV Power Plant at Gujarat Solar Park at Charanka in Gujarat.
