    London: An unusual football-shaped hen’s egg has been sold for £102 at an auction in the UK. Lesley Reith, from Oxton in Merseyside, UK was shocked when she discovered the spherical egg in the nest box. Reith was about to make an omelette with it before a friend persuaded her to sell it online.

    New Delhi : Indian Oil Corporation’s  (IOC) upcoming LPG import terminal at Puthuvypeen, Kochi, will significantly help reduce the backlog for LPG cylinder supply in Kerala, which is currently at about 15 days. It would also minimise the movement of bulk LPG tankers through the highways of the State. The company has issued this statement amidst the growing agitation around the terminal in Kerala by a group of people.

    New Delhi : Rural Electrification Corporation Limited is the nodal agency for Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), which is an integrated scheme covering all aspects of rural power distribution like feeder segregation, system strengthening and metering. REC has taken up the village electrification on a mission mode targeting completion by May 2018 as per the pledge of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
