    Moscow, Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was found guilty of repeatedly calling for unlawful protests and sentenced to 30 days of detention, following a day of nationwide anti-corruption demonstrations, the media reported. Navalny, in court in Moscow, on Monday night accused the judge of helping the police write the justification for his arrest, reports CNN.

    Bhopal: Amid the ongoing farmers’ protest in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, the state government on Monday transferred seven IAS officers including Home Secretary Madhu Khare. Khare has now been shifted as the managing director of Madhya Pradesh Khadi and Gramodyog board. Kedar Sharma has taken charge as the new Home Secretary.

    Sydney, An Uber driver has been sentenced to nine years in prison for raping a drunken woman who fell asleep in the back of his ride-hailing car in Sydney. New South Wales state District Court Judge Deborah Payne on Tuesday ordered Muhammad Naveed serve at least six years and four months in prison before being considered for parole.

    Mumbai: At least three people were seriously injured after a car lost control and rammed into a divider at the Bandra flyover last night. According to the police, the car lost control due to high speed. The injured, which include two women and a man, were taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.The police have registered a case against the driver.
