    Dewas: In a major reshuffle, district superintendent of police Anshuman Singh has shifted a few police station in-charges and inspectors from one police station to another. According to information, inspector Dinesh Sharma, Bank Note Press police station in-charge was shifted to Nahar Gate police station. Inspector Umravsingh Chaudhary will replace Sharma as in-charge of BNP police station.

  • Ujjain: Loading vehicle rams into bike killing one

    Ujjain: A youth died when a loading vehicle rammed into his bike on Sunday night. Gokul (35) resident of Panbihar was travelling by his bike number MP 13 DS 1507, with his friend Rahul Prajapat, when an uncontrolled truck smashed into the bike.  Gokul died on the spot due to severe injuries.   • Ujjain: Madhavnagar sub-inspector in a soup on charges of fraud

    Ujjain: Serious allegations of fraud levelled on a Sub-Inspector have come to light recently. A contractor, Kanhaiyyalal Verma has accused sub-Inspector Kamlesh Gaur, currently posted at Madhavnagar police station, of treachery and fraud. Verma and Gaur began an equal stakes partnership in 2016, when Gaur was posted at the police control room and started taking contracts for construction work to be executed by Gaur’s company, Swastik Technologies.

    Ujjain: Ramanujacharya Sahastrabdi Rath arrived in Ujjain at Laxmi Vyanktesh temple, Badnagar road on Monday. This rath started its journey in 2016 and is slated to travel all over India. It arrived in Ujjain after travelling through Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and some other cities.

  • Mumbai colleges not on the top educational institutes in the country list, St Xavier’s at 40th

    New Delhi/Mumbai: Mumbai’s famed St Xavier’s College is the only institution to find a place in the list of top educational institutions in the country prepared by the Union Human Resource Development ministry. And that too at the lowly 40th spot. Two other colleges from the city had applied for the ranking: St Andrew’s College at Bandra and SIES (South Indian Education Society) College at Sion, but failed to find a place in the list.
