  • Ujjain: New campus of nursing college inaugurated

    Ujjain: A new campus of Government Nursing College at Sudama Nagar, opposite Civil Hospital near Cancer unit was inaugurated on Sunday. The new campus comprises 30 rooms and an auditorium. Currently 265 students are studying in the college. The nursing college offers basic BSc course in nursing and Post Basic 2-year course to the students. In addition to these courses, a 6-week skill training programme is also conducted at the college.

    Chennai: The DMK on Sunday appealed to Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao to ‘nullify’ the vote of confidence won by Sasikala loyalist E K Palaniswami, alleging it was adopted by contravening the rules of the state Assembly. The DMK, whose MLAs were en masse evicted from the state assembly before voting on the confidence motion on Saturday, also announced a state-wide hunger strike on February 22, protesting what it called was “murder of democracy”.

    Mumbai: The Mumbai airport was put on high alert on Sunday after a private airline pilot reportedly spotted a red-drone flying some distance away from the airport locality on Sunday afternoon.     Mumbai: The Mumbai police arrested one 48-year-old pir-fakir or tantric, who robbed a Malad-based man of Rs. 2 lakh cash and 5 tolas gold on pretext of performing black magic to improve his financial condition.
