    Ujjain  : Ujjain Municipal Corporation is organizing 53rd All India Kabbadi Championships at the Kshirsagar Stadium. Approximately 34 teams, including 16 women and 18 men, have arrived in Ujjain to participate in the championship. Teams from Haryana, Panipat, Delhi, Mumbai, Jammu and Kashmir, Air India, Ujjain, Bhopal, Indore, Bairagadh and others will be competing in the event. The winner in the male category will win a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

    In yet another embarrassment for the BJP, Mira Bhayandar legislator Narendra Mehta landed in soup after he (along with five civic personnel) was booked for Rs 2 crore extortion bid on a local builder Vinod Trivedi for allowing the construction of a commercial building in Mira Road. However, no arrests have been made so far into the case.

    Ujjain: An annual meet was organised by Maharashtrian community on Republic Day to felicitate for their services during Simhastha held in May last year. After flag hoisting ceremony, various cultural performances were organised at the meet. Students rendered the National song in Marathi and Hindi.
