  • Kakani appointed prosecution counsel of I-T dept

    Indore : Central Board of Direct Taxes, New Delhi has appointed senior city lawyer Ajay Kakani as prosecution counsel to represent Income Tax Department in Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Indore region. His appointment is made for three years. Earlier Kakani was also a government pleader in the Indore bench of MP High court.

    Indore:  Two city jewellers, who sold huge quantity of gold bars on November 8, the day Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were banned, surrendered Rs 1.5 crore each to the Income tax department. Gold worth Rs 1 crore was also seized from one of the jewellers.
