    Indore: Indore municipal corporation (IMC) sought more hands from urban administration and development minister Maya Singh for hassle free implementation of Smart City project in the city. After assuming charge of UAD minister, Singh had visited the city for the first time to review ongoing works of Smart city project. In a meeting with municipal officers, she sought to know progress made by IMC on the project so far.

  • Man flees with Rs 10 lakh

    Indore: City police on Wednesday booked a person for embezzling a businessman of Rs 10 lakh in the name of sending his money to a Gujarat-based trader. Heeralal Bafna of South Tukoganj approached Tukoganj police station and lodged a complaint that he had given money to one Kirtibhai Patel to deliver it to Navrang Machinery in Ahmedabad a few days ago, but Patel did not deliver the money.

    Indore: Road leading from Palasia to Kalyanmal Nursing Home also suffers from parking problems as the rest of the city. There are a number of commercial buildings on this road and most of them do not have parking lots. Problem is further compounded by haphazard parking by vehicle owners buying fruits, vegetables and flowers. A few residents living in the area described the problem as acute and needing immediate addressing.

    EC member keen on Hema Malini’s dance performance at DAVV

    Indore: An executive council member of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is pushing for Bollywood actress Hema Malini’s dance performance at the university and he is reportedly hell-bent on organising her show post-convocation. However, convocation monitoring committee is of a view that the dance show should not be organised post-convocation as all the guests and participants would be gone after the conclusion of the ceremony and nobody would wait for the actress to perform.

    Bhopal: The RSS, which is continuously tightening its grip on the state government, is now going to vet the personal staff of ministers too. RSS Kshetra Pracharak Arun Jain and organisational general secretary Suhas Bhagat, in the interest of ‘honesty’ and ‘transparency’ in government functioning, have asked chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to be cautious while appointing the personal staff of ministers. Chouhan may convey this message of RSS to his ministers
