    Mumbai :  India’s foreign exchange reserves surged by a whopping $4.2 billion to touch a record high of $359.759 billion in the week ended April 1, mainly on account of rise in foreign currency assets, the Reserve Bank said.

    Thane : A local builder was on Friday murdered in broad daylight by three unidentified persons near here, police said. Manoj Jaiswal was sitting in his office at Ganesh Nagar after completing his ‘Gudi Padwa’ (Maharashtra New Year) pooja when he was attacked by three unidentified persons wielding sharp-edged weapons, they said.
