    Panaji: Five-day festival of Carnival will begin on Saturday in Goa. The main attraction will be the float parade on the capital city Panaji road adjoining the bank of River Mandovi. The state has made all the preparations for the Samba event, which attracts thousands of tourists.

  • Indo-Nepal joint military exercise to commence at Pithoragarh

    Pithoragarh: Ninth Indo-Nepal Combined Battalion level military training exercise “Surya Kiran” will commence here from Monday. In this exercise, an infantry battalion of the Indian Army and an equivalent strength from the Nepalese army would be sharing their experiences gained during the conduct of counter insurgency operations and jungle warfare in mountain terrain.

    Tainan (Taiwan): A massive earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale hit southern Taiwan on Saturday, leaving at least three-people dead.According to reports, Tainan in southern Taiwan was worst hit by the quake, where a 17-story residential building collapsed, leaving scores of people injured.
