    Jet Airways Q2 profit climbs to Rs 88 cr on lower fuel costs

    New Delhi: Jet Airways today reported 25 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 87.59 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal, ended September 30, boosted by low aviation turbine fuel prices and high passenger traffic. The private carrier had posted a net profit of Rs 69.82 crore in the year-ago period as it had benefitted from surplus arising out of slump sale of its Jet Privilege Frequent Flyer Programme.

    Police may have tampered with Salman’s car after mishap

    Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s lawyer today argued in the Bombay High Court that the police might have tampered with the actor’s Toyota Land Cruiser Lexus which was involved in the 2002 hit-and-run accident. The Bombay High Court is currently hearing Salman’s appeal against the conviction and five-year sentence for crashing his car into a bakery in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002, killing one person and injuring four others.
