    Ujjain : A 19-year-old youth Sonu son of Rameshwar Nayak drowned in a pond in village Kadchha under the Narwar police circle here on Tuesday. Sony had gone to attend natural call in the morning near the pond in the village. When he did not return for a long time, the family persons started a search and found Sonu afloat in the pond. The police have registered a case in this regard.

    New Delhi : Facing flak over its order to block access to 857 pornographic and humour websites, the government on Tuesday decided to lift ban on websites that do not host child pornography. The Department of Telecommunications in a discreet order on July 31 asked Internet service providers to block access to 857 websites, including humour site 9GAG and CollegeHumor as well as Playboy, citing the threat to public morality.

  • Govt to replace old Turbo aircraft with Rs-80cr Jet

    BHOPAL : A meeting of the cabinet, held here on Tuesday, cleared a proposal to buy a jet aircraft worth Rs 80 crore by the state government. The plane will be capable of landing at Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Khajuraho airports in the state. As many as 21 new airstrips would also be built at a cost Rs 50 crores to expand the reach of the new aircraft.

    BHOPAL: The CBI filed five more FIRs on Tuesday as part of taking over investigation in the Vyapam scam. The agency official sources said, the FIR was registered under sections 120-B, 201, 417, 419,420, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC and Section 3(d)(1)(2)/4 of M.P Recognized Examinations Act against three accused persons on the charge of cheating by impersonation in PMT-2010.
