    BHOPAL : State government on Friday transferred 17 IAS officers along with posting new collectors in Singrauli, Damoh, Badwani and Sheopur districts. The government also changed commissioner for higher education and commissioner, Rajya Shiksha Kendera (RSK).

    BHOPAL : The transfer list of IAS officers released on Friday was based on wishes of Ministers and senior officers. Minister for School Education Paras Jain and Additional Chief Secretary SR Mohanti wanted to remove Ashish Shrivastava from Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK). Shrivastava has been sent to Revenue Board. Chief Secretary Antony De Sa had played a key role in his posting at RSK.

  • NGT serves notices on 13 auto companies, 24 service stations

    BHOPAL : The Central bench of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), on Friday, issued notices to 42 people, including Urban Administration Department, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company, MP Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and their regional officers, 24 auto service centres and 13 auto companies for causing pollution.

    Ujjain : Five mayoral candidates are in poll fray of Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) Polls-2015 after as many as 15 mayoral candidates who had filed nominations withdrew their nominations, on Friday. BJP and Congress leaders were seen persuading the rebel candidates to withdraw their names at Kothi Palace premises. Several candidates who did not get seats from party appeared to be very angry alleging parties for giving tickets to non-deserving candidates.

    BHOPAL : A 48-year-old private coaching class owner committed suicide on Thursday night by hanging self in his house at Nariyalkhera area within the limits of Gautam Nagar police station. Police have recovered a suicide note from the spot.

  • Driver loses control over school bus; hits cars, bikes

    BHOPAL : The driver of a school bus of Kamla Nehru Higher Secondary School, on Friday, afternoon lost control over the vehicle on the Chetak Bridge and hit 3-4 cars and 2-3 bikes at the Jyoti Square signal and stopped after hitting a divider. Later, the road was cleared by the police by lifting the bus using a crane. Three to four persons sustained minor injuries in the accident.
