    Mumbai : The BMC’s Tree Authority on Tuesday gave permission to uproot 871 trees in different parts of the city for various developmental projects. About 1,000 trees were going to be uprooted initially but the authority only gave permission for these many. Besides, a proposal to uproot 2,289 trees for Metro III was deferred once again.
