    Dewas : The district police superintendent (SP) Abhay Singh will be announced for the president gallantry award on August 15, Independence Day. Indian president has approved the award for the city SP and Indian home ministry has issued orders regarding the same. He has been nominated for his high class bravery and gallantry performances in Indian police service.

    Baghdad : The United Nations has announced its highest level of emergency for the humanitarian crisis in Iraq in the wake of the onslaught by Islamic militants who have overrun much of the country’s north and west and driven out hundreds of thousands from their homes, reports AP.
