    Thiruvananthapuram : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has expressed its readiness to take up the probe into alleged trafficking of 586 children from north and eastern states to orphanages in Kerala. The decision was conveyed to the high court when a petition seeking a high level probe into the incident came for hearing on Wednesday.   • Nigeria car bomb kills 56

    Lagos : The car bomb explosion that rocked a busy market in the north-eastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri on Tuesday claimed 56 lives, civil defence sources told EFE on Wednesday, according to IANS. The bomb, which was placed in a van that carried coal, exploded in the capital of Borno state, where the extremist Islamic group Boko Haram is active.At least 54 people were also injured in the blast.
