  • Prisoner serving life term hangs self

    Mumbai: A 30-year-old prisoner at the Arthur Road jail committed suicide by hanging himself at around 2.30 pm on Friday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Vinayak Deshmukh informed. Deceased Anilkumar Kanojia, on June 11, was convicted for killing his wife and sentenced with life imprisonment. He was going to be transferred to Nashik jail on Saturday to serve the rest of his term in jail.
