  • 3 arrested with 850 quarters illicit liquor worth Rs 42, 500

    Ujjain : Nagda police station arrested three accused who were carrying 850 quarters of illicit country made liquor in Maruti van (MP 09-F-6047) from railway bridge bypass on Sunday. Police informed that accused Manish son of Ashok Yadav, a resident of Shastri Nagar Ujjain, Sonu son of Ishwar Balai, resident of Mojamkhedi of Bhairavgarh police station and Lucky son of Rajesh Kushwah of Shastri Nagar were arrested. Police also seized illicit liquor

  • Mahakal police arrest four miscreants

    Ujjain : The Mahakal police on Sunday arrested four miscreants on suspicion of theft and recovered from them hashish and other drugs. The identity of the outlaws could not be immediately ascertained.  Miscreants were roaming in the area for committing a theft. According to the police, the arrested miscreants are from Nagda and have several cases booked against them at different police stations.

  • Woman set on fire over alleged extramarital affairs

    Ujjain : In a shocking incident, a man burnt his wife to death over her alleged extramarital affairs at a village near Mehidpur. A 32-year-old Krishnabai was set ablaze by her husband Rodumal, at her house in village Kachariya under Mehidpur police station area, on May 29. The motive behind the murder was said to be Krishnabai’s illicit relationship.
