  • Nokia gets relief, HC sets aside ED’s 2,000 cr assessment order

    Chennai : In a relief for the troubled Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia, the Madras High Court on Tuesday set aside the assessment order of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) directing Nokia India Private Limited near Chennai to pay Rs 2,400 crore towards Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax (VAT) for the assessment years 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12.
