    BHOPAL: All the five accused, including the mastermind and three imposters, have been sent on police remand till February 11. They have been charged with committing irregularities in police constable recruitment. STF arrested all of them and produced them in District and sessions court on Wednesday.

  • Days get hotter; trend to continue

    BHOPAL: Day temperature continued to soar in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. The trend is likely to prevail for the next four to five days. However, night temperature continued to fluctuate. The temperature has risen even the northern parts, which were in the grip of biting cold till a fortnight back. The northern wind, which usually generate chill in Madhya Pradesh, is missing.

  • Dr Bhandari’s bail plea in PMT- 2012 case rejected

    Bhopal: Five accused of PMT- 2012 fraud case, including four students, have been given anticipatory bail on Wednesday. However, ADJ Amitabh Mishra rejected the bail plead of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences ( SAIMS) chairman Dr Vinod Bhandari. The students who secured bail included Priyanka Dharve, Gunita Bansal, Mohammed Sadiq and Ajit adav. Besides, Amardip Bansal, father of Gunita Bansal, has also been granted anticipatory bail.

  • Modi Tea Chaupals to be held in all LS constituencies

    BHOPAL: Bharatiya Janata Party, state unit has finalized the programme of ‘ Narendra Modi Ke Sang Chai Chaupal’ to be organised in the Parliamentary constituencies of the state. As per the programme, two ‘ Chai Chaupals’ will be held in Khandwa, Jhabua, Dewas, Sidhi, Balaghat, Satna, Hoshangabad, Ratlam, Mandsaur and Vidisha constituencies.

  • Lady doc’s house burgled

    BHOPAL: A band of thieves struck at the locked house of a woman doctor at Chunna Bhatti area and escaped with booty worth Rs 4.20 lakh late on Tuesday night.The family members returned home late in the night after attending a marriage ceremony and found the house burgled. Later they lodged a complaint at Chunna Bhatti police station.

  • Doc held for molesting class four employee

    BHOPAL: Mahila Thana police have arrested a middle- aged doctor for molesting a 38- year- old woman on Wednesday afternoon. The arrest was made following the complaint of victim woman after which the accused has been booked under sections 354, 506 and 509 of the IPC.     Indore: Efforts should be made to keep the cost of houses being constructed for the weaker section and low- income groups as low as possible so that they are affordable.     Indore: Continuing its probe in Fake mark- sheet racket, the Crime Branch police arrested two more accused, on Wednesday. The Crime Branch sleuths are interrogating the accused.It is to be noted that the Crime Branch had busted the racket and arrested 10 accused in this connection.


    Indore: Lok Ayukta police nabbed a police station in- charge redhanded accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person in Bhikangaon, of Khargone district.The complainant informed the Lok Ayukta police about Rs 10,000 bribe demand by the thanedar of Bhikangaon police station to settle a family dispute.
