Australian cricketer Steve Smith was displaced by the world’s no 1 ranked tennis player. Smith is a big fan of Roger Ferderer and has even attended his games and clicked pictures with the Swiss legend.

It all began when Wimbledon posted a video of Federer in action, with him playing what looks like a forward defensive stroke in there official Twitter account.

Then they asked ICC how good was Federer’s effort, to which the ICC replied by putting Federer as the world’s best batsman.

The ICC even went on to tweet a pic of Roger Federer and Sachin Tendulkar onto a Spider-Man meme with the caption: “When greatness recognises greatness”.

Federer won against France’s Adrian Mannarino 6-0, 7-5, 6-4 on Monday and made it to the quarter-final of Wimbledon 2018
