FOLLOW US:

Ujjain : Residents of the Shankarpur and Vikram Nagar met municipal commissioner J Vijay Kumar with leader of opposition Rajendra Vashishtha on Saturday at Ujjain Municipal Corporation and handed over a memorandum.

The residents demanded two new water tanks with a capacity of 5 lakh gallons of water since existing water tanks were almost 50 year old and did not meet the requirement of potable water in the area.

Leader of opposition Vashishtha and corporator Atmaram Malviya also expressed their concern in this regard. They stated that Patpala, Morukhedi, Madhavpur and many other neighbouring localities also faced the problem of potable water and therefore there was a dire need for the UMC to place new water tanks in Shankarpur and Vikram Nagar.
