BHOPAL : Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, arrived here by a special aircraft on Saturday afternoon on a three-day visit.
He was received at the airport by the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The 82-year-old spiritual head of the Tibetan community enjoys the status of head of state. He drove to Hotel Jeha Numa Hotel from the airport, where he is putting up.
‘His Holiness’ is scheduled to fly to Nemavar in Dewas district on Sunday morning, where he will participate in the Narmada Yatra. In the afternoon, at 1.30, he will speak on the “Art of Happiness” at a programme organised by the Anand Department. He will depart on Monday morning. P3
