Controversial IAS officer Neha Marvya divested of all work

Shunted out of agri dept, posted as OSD in Mantralaya

BHOPAL : IAS officer Neha Marvya, who was moved out from Shivpuri following a series of controversies, was, on Saturday, shunted out from the agriculture department, where she was posted as deputy secretary and appointed OSD in the Mantrayala. She has been given no work. Sources said that Marvya was removed because of her controversial style of work. Marvya had clashed with many officers and employees of the department during her stint in the department.

The departmental officers had complained to principal secretary Rajesh Rajora about her behaviour after which Rajora had counselled her. However, she refused to mend her ways.

Even after being moved out of the agriculture department, a defiant Marvya wrote to the principal secretary asking him to elaborate the reasons for her removal. She has also sought copies of the complaints made against him.

Marvya had come into the limelight when, as additional collector, Shivpuri, she refused permission to the local minister Yashodhararaje Scindia to organise at programme. She was also in the news for refusing to release payment for a hired car being used by the then collector O.P. Shrivastava.  After a flood of complaints against her, she was placed in the loop-line as deputy secretary in the Mantralaya. However, she did not change her style of work, which led to the latest action.
