Reviews flood situation in morning and evening
BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan reviewed district- wise flood relief and rescue operations at a highlevel emergency meeting here on Friday morning. He directed that administration should gear up to deal with any situation. Chauhan sought information about flood situation and rescue operations from collectors of affected districts.
The Chief Minister directed that relief camps should be set up everywhere as per requirement and relief should be distributed to affected people. He directed to ensure round- the- clock operations in this hour of calamity.
Chief Minister directed that every possible effort should be ensured for safe evacuation of people from inundated villages along Narmada banks. He urged people to cooperate with administration and not to enter water flowing with rapid current. Administration is ensuring all necessary safety arrangements in all floodaffected villages.
Chief Secretary R. Parasuram and DGP Nandan Dube were present at the occasion. Additional Chief Secretary Home IS Dani, DGP Home Guards RK Shukla, Principal Secretary Narmada Valley Development Rajneesh Vaish and Principal Secretary to CM Manoj Shrivastava also attended the meeting. The CM convened another meeting in the evening. Another meeting is scheduled for Saturday morning. The government has sanctioned Rs 43 crore to provide relief to the flood victims.
