Mumbai : The upcoming smart city project, according to Raipur municipal commissioner Rajat Bansal, would take up area -based development, provide smart solutions etc. He stated that Rs 24 crore might be the budget for facilities like public community toilets, water ATMs, pay per use laundry and other facilities.
He said that he will look into the complaints on the quality of water supplied to the residents and also the interference in the supply of water, in major areas of the city during summer.
Revealing the budget of the real-time air pollution checks, he said that the air pollution monitoring and its real time display cost around Rs 40 lakh. He also assured that rainwater harvesting will soon be mandatory for all government buildings. Bansal stated that the decentralised waste management will cost Rs 1.50 crore.
