Jammu and Kashmir’s Rehaan Raas Dev is the winner of Mr. India Men’s Physique 2017 and is all set to represent India at the Mr. Asia Championship in Mongolia. Following his passion and dream of making his body a piece of art, Rehaan spent months relentlessly working out under the guidance of Mr. World Vipin Peter. Rehaan represented Maharashtra at the nationals and went on to win the 57th Senior National Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship organised by IBBFF at Ahmedabad.

When did you decide to enter the world of modelling and acting?

I always dreamed of becoming a successful actor. I had a well-established corporate career and worked at an investment fund and financial services firm as a senior financial analyst. I’m also a qualified Chartered Accountant and did my further studies at the CFA Institute, USA. However, my love for acting and fitness was so empowering that I moved base to Mumbai where I trained as an actor and prepared for the Mr. India Championship alongside.

You’re all set to represent India at an international level. How does it feel?

I’m excited to represent our country at the Mr. Asia Championship taking place this weekend. For someone who started out as a model from J&K, displaying our tri-colour on the stage of this international extravaganza is a great honour. This fitness-modelling contest runs every year and hunts for aesthetic bodies that are lean, muscular and symmetrical. Athletes are judged on the basis of their body aesthetics, stage presentation and personality.

Who do you credit your success to?

I give all the credit of my victory to my guru Vipin Peter, who worked hard on me and brought about an amazing transformation in a short time. I would also like to thank the Indian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (IBBFF) for providing such a wonderful platform to athletes. Lastly, I’d like to thank Dr. Sanjay C More (General Secretary, IBBFF) for his undying efforts in nurturing, promoting and protecting fitness and fitness athletes.
