‘Trivedi brothers were partners in land deal, college project’


BHOPAL : The CBI has received a complaint from RTI activist Aishwarya Pandey against RGPV vice-chancellor Dr Piyush Trivedi, brother of Dr Pankaj Trivedi, an accused in the scam.

The activist handed over papers of a land deal of a society formed by the Trivedi brothers and including some officials of technical education department and CRISP, and sought probe into it. He said the land was purchased in Itkheri village nearby the state capital for a project.

“The land was purchased to start a project for technical education on the line of CRISP. Although it could not get started, the case is suspicious because many persons having link with the Vyapam were part of the project,” said Pandey.

He said, he submitted documents to CBI officials on Monday and demanded probe in it. He said Seema Sharma, an IAS officer and relative of Dr Trivedi was Home Secretary during the investigation and it should be probed.

He said, Shilpa Gupta, wife of RGPV Professor Dr Vijay Gupta was selected in dairy federation recruitment and it was alleged that Dr Pankaj Trivedi managed her selection at the behest of his elder brother Dr Piyush Trivedi. Her appointment should be taken into consideration for scrutiny.

He also gave some papers about partnership of the duo in Acropolis College of Indore for which Dr Trivedi had stood guarantee.
