Boon for Bundelkhand, says CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

BHOPAL: Union minister for railways Suresh Prabhu said that the investment towards expansion of rail facilities in Madhya Pradesh will provide benefit to the entire country.

No stone will be left unturned for expansion of rail facilities in the state, he added. Union minister Prabhu and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the new broad gauge section and Jabalpur-Sakurimangela train service. Two railway tracks, Khajuraho-Tikamgarh and Jabalpur-Sakri Mangla have been inaugurated and one foundation stone has been laid for the proposed railway track of Sidhi-Singroli on Tuesday.

They laid the foundation of Madan Mahal Terminus and inaugurated Wi-Fi facility at Jabalpur station, including multi functional complex and automatic water vending machine at the station.

They also laid the foundation stone of the Rewa-Sidhi-Singroli rail track and of railway station in Sidhi, it will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2,220 crore.

The chief minister added that to make the Bundelkhand prosperous the government will do its best and the starting of the rail track is like a dream come true.

It is targeted that the work of the rail track should be completed by the year 2019.

The Union rail minister added that the new train from Singroli to Bhopal and Singroli to Delhi will be instituted. The government of India has allocated Rs 1,21,000 crore for the development of the rail projects in the nation.

Union water resources minister Uma Bharti, Rail Minister and chief minister inaugurated the railway station of Chattarpur and the new track from Khajuraho to Tikamgarh.
