BHOPAL : The exercise of political appointments in the Corporations and Boards in the state is going to start within a couple of days. This was decided at a meeting on Monday at CM House in which besides Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Narendra Tomar , State President Nandkumar Singh Chauhan, Organisational general secretary Arvind Menon were present.
According to sources, discussion in the meeting, that lasted for almost three hours, was centred around political appointments in Corporations and Boards. Tomar arrived in the city on Sunday night as he wants to oblige his confidants through political appointments. Several names were discussed in the meeting and some names may soon be announced. According to sources, either Anju Makhija or Usha Chaturvedi may be appointed as Chairperson of State Woman Commission. Discussion on appointing Upma Rai, Krishna Gaur, Hitesh Vajpayee, Vijendra Singh Sisodia, Govind Maalu, Gopikrishna Nema, Ramkishan Chauhan, Rai Singh Sendhav and Om Yadav also took place.
Deliberations on cabinet expansion and changing district organisational secretaries also took place. During BJP National President Amit Shah’s recent visit to the city, a discussion was held over cabinet expansion and the same may happen next month. After meeting with Chauhan, Tomar and Menon had a long discussion.
