Mandav Utsav to be organised amid severe financial crunch


DHAR : Overlooking the financial crisis prevailing in the district unit of the Red Cross Society, the administration has proposed to organise Mandav Utsav in December 2016. Huge amount of money will be spent on Mandav Utsav proposed by the administration recently. The arrangements for the occasion will have to be made by the administration and is planning to include around 500 children in the camp.

Reportedly, the district unit of the Red Cross Society, which is running many social welfare services especially for the marginalized and poor sections of the society, is facing severe financial crunch. Medical facilities and financial help are also being provided to this section by the concerned organisation.

But as of now, the district unit of the organisation is going through severe financial crisis. But the institution is not catching the attention of the administration. The administration is planning to organise Mandav Utsav despite the poor condition of the institution running social welfares. The financial arrangements for the program are to be made by the district administration, alone. In a vocal reply to an RTI, it was revealed that court audit has also not been conducted for two years.
