RTI activist says no action taken against VC for flouting norms indicates complicity of CM
BHOPAL: Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication is again marred in controversy for appointment of ineligible professors and assistant professors in the university.
RTI activist Devendra Prakash Mishra and state representative of NSUI, Vivek Tripathi in a press conference on Monday said that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Journalism has degraded the condition of the university and has filled many posts on personal relations and not on eligibility.
Mishra said, “The appointments in the university are not made on the basis of eligibility and it is proved with the appointments being done recently. The appointments in the university are done without any advertisement and interview. In fact, the appointment letter does not even have the signature of the registrar of the university. VC, BK Kuthiyala does not adheres to the norms set by the general committee of the university which is headed by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself. VC has been appointing assistant professors and professors, who are not eligible for the post and also are incompetent at the same time.”
