DEO asks schools to counsel students against ‘Blue Whale Dare’

BHOPAL : The district education officer has instructed counsellors posted in government and private schools to counsel students against the deadly game ‘Blue Whale Dare’, on Saturday.

It has come to light that a student of Class 7 had tried to jump from the school roof top, following the game challenge.

It is a game in which step wise step it turns into dangerous stunts, which more often than not leads the player into some hazard or accident.


The DEO has instructed the school administrations to conduct counselling of the students by counsellors, so that they can understand the difference between real and virtual world.

IG intelligence Makrand Deouskar said the PHQ had called the details of the incident that occurred in Indore. The other details of the game are also been studied and PHQ will take steps in the matter after the report submission.
