Bhopal: Two youths robbed of mobile phones and Rs 6,000 cash at knife-point

Bhopal: Two youths Prakash Chandra Bijoria and Basant Kumar were robbed of their mobile phones and Rs 6,000 cash at knife-point by four miscreants riding on two bikes near Karishma Park under Jehangirabad police station area at 5:30 am on Friday.

Prakash is a resident of Roshanpura while Basant is a resident of Banganga. Both of them work with an event management company. Police said that they were on their way to home after delivering a consignment in Raipur on a truck at the time of incident.

In their complaint the victims stated that the three bike miscreants who initially tried to snatch the belongings and when the two opposed the miscreants took a knife and attacked them. In the attack, Prakash sustained injuries in his hand and face. Later the accused robbed the two at knife point. The miscreants escaped with Rs 6,000 and mobile phones of the victims.


However, the total loss of the victim in the incident is around Rs 20,000 claimed the victim. The victims also alleged that soon after the incident they informed police staff of FRV Dial-100 who were sleeping in police vehicle near the crime scene but instead of acting swiftly they advice victims to approach Jehangirabad police station. Later responding to their complaint, police have registered a case under Section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
