Bhopal School of Social Sciences organises ‘Green Day’ to spread awareness on environment

The Department of Humanities of Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) organised ‘Green Day’ on its premises on Saturday. It was based on theme ‘Panchbhutam’ which constitutes earth, water, fire, sky and air.

The sole motto of this day is to sensitise students and create awareness regarding environmental issues and concerns. The management, staff, non teaching staff and the students were dressed in different shades of green to show their co-existence and love with nature. Various cultural programmes like singing songs, group dances and skit were presented by students. Competitions like rangoli making, face painting, doodle art, pot decoration, poster making, paper bag making, flameless cooking and junk to funk were also organised.

Besides that, various stalls for delicacies and artistic ornaments were also centre of attraction. An event, for the best eco-friendly dressed ‘Mr and Miss Green’ was also organised in which Vigyata Toppo and Areeb Hashmi felicitated with ‘Miss’ and ‘Mr Green’ respectiely.
