Bhopal: RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbole has said charges against Jay Shah, son of BJP president Amit Shah, should be probed and action should be taken against him but only after the persons who have levelled the allegation that his assets have grown 16,000 times, are able to prove that their charges are prima facie true.
Hosbole was addressing a press conference here on Thursday. He said that it is the responsibility of the person or persons making an allegation to prove that they are true. It is for the first time that the RSS has publicly reacted to the issue. Of course, the reaction was a vexed one. On the one hand, the Sangh said that charges should be probed on the other it shifted the responsibility for proving the charges on the persons making the allegation.
Hosbole said that the Sangh has already welcomed demonetisation and GST and the meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal won’t discuss the twin issues. When asked about the issues raised by BJP veteran Yashwant Sinha and about a recent meeting of Murli Manohar Joshi with RSS chief Mohan Bhagtwat, Hosbole said that both of them were in the BJP and the RSS had nothing to say about what they say or do.
He said that some people make abusive comments about the country. They have not even spared the Bharat Mata. Such people do not want the nation to grow. This is not good. Hosbole said that Sangh activists are being attacked in Kerala. The attackers are those who have lost ideological battle and out of desperation, are indulging in violence. They are out to disturb peace in the nation. The Sangh has launched a nation-wide protest against these incidents.
He said that the Sangh has already discussed the issues of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi infiltrators and the ongoing meeting may also dwell on them. He said that the meeting was being held to discuss the work done by the RSS and not by the Modi government.
Intellectuals discussing RSS chief’s address: Dattatreya Hosbole said that intellectuals held discussions on the Vijayadashmi day speech of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at 20 places in the country. He said that everyone should remain firm on his or her views but there should always be space for dialogue and discussion. He said that the number of youths associated with the RSS had grown by 48% in 2016 and 52% in 2017.
