Bhopal: Probationary IAS officers go cashless, no frills marriage

BHOPAL: Two probationary IAS officers tied the knot in a simple ceremony in the presence of their parents and immediate family in Bhind on Monday. The couple has decided not to throw any reception.

The collector of Bhind Illiya Raja informed that the SDM of Gohad, Ashish Vashisht and Saloni Sadana of the Andhra Pradesh cadre posted in Vijaywada are IAS officers of 2014 batch.

They had fallen in love during training and got married under the Special Marriage Act.


Vashisht informed that his parents and sister and Saloni’s parents, sister and brother were present.  Vashisht belongs to Alwar Rajasthan. He is a civil engineer. Sadana is an MBBS doctor and is from Punjab.

Saloni wants to join the MP cadre. The marriage certificate will be submitted to the department to change the state cadre.
