Bhopal: The Professional Examination Board (PEB) will use Aadhar card for watertight identification of candidates appearing in exams conducted by it. The PEB director Bhaskar Lachakar informed The Free Press Journal that the board has decided to use Aadhar card as the main document for establishing the identity of the candidates. This will ease the identification of the applicants at the examination centre and also at the time of joining. As the Aadhar card has biometric identifications, impersonation would become next to impossible.
It is also planned that every candidate will be given a ‘electronic-know your candidate’ (E-KYC) number when he applies for appearing in any PEB exam for the first time. Subsequently, he will only have to fill the name of the post for which he is applying. The rest of the information will be automatically get filled in the form. The candidate can then submit his application through smart phone or computer.
Presently if a student wants to apply, they have to submit many documents like mark sheets, date of birth certificate, ration card, domicile certificate and many others with every application form. He also added that those students who are not having Aadhar card will have to follow the normal procedure.
