Bhopal: Nursing student commits suicide


BHOPAL: A nursing girl student committed suicide at Minal Residency under Ayodhya Police station on Sunday. She lived in a hostel at Lal Ghati and used to sleep in for four to five hours whenever she came to her home at Minal Residency. Her parents were under impression that their daughter might be sleeping in her room. She was a student of Dr Ambedkar Nursing College. As per police, Puja Verma, 21, resident of Old Minal Residency, was a student of second year of nursing and used to live in hostel at Lalghati.  She had come at home where she hanged herself.

Police recovered a suicide note in which she blamed none of the family members but herself for taking the extreme step. The body has been sent for postmortem. The parents of the deceased basically hail from Rajgarh and they are engaged in agriculture.

Investigating Officer Anil Kumar said, “Hosteller Puja Verma was student of Dr Ambedkar Nursing College, Lalghati. She used to sleep for four to five hours whenever she used to come to home from Hostel. As her brother was admitted in Shakti Hospital after accident, so parents had gone to the Hospital and she was alone in Saturday day time.

When parents returned, they thought she was sleeping. In night, when they went to her room, they found her body hanging.”
